Lord, on the day the Spirit fell.
Your pow'r was given from above.
Three thousand souls were saved from hell,
Stirred by your touch, saved through your love.
As you took fearful, timid men,
And made them bold to work for you.
So you can surely move again
And grant to us this blessing too.
Grant to your faithful servants here
Anointing on the words they speak.
We long to feel your presence near,
Your glory is the crown we seek.
Lord, let your truth burn deep within.
Christ's beauty bring before our eyes.
Stir souls to life, convict of sin.
From fresh lips may your praises rise.
New voices join with ours in song.
Salvation through the cross their theme.
Its music runs through ages long
Praising the depths of love supreme.
