We praise you, Lord, for every faithful blessing
Poured on our church each day for many years.
For every sin, forgiveness in confessing,
Joy for our grief and hope for all our fears;
The cross of Christ that covers every stain.
Under its shadow, may our church remain.
Grant us the grace to walk in faith before you.
To let our minds be guided by your Word.
Whatever path your wisdom takes our lives through.
May we endure, with patience, for our Lord.
Our hearts forever captured by your love
Until you take us to our home above.
But while we wait in glad anticipation
Of that great day when heaven's joy is ours.
We see a world that stands in condemnation.
Lost sinners, helpless, bound by darkest powers.
May we go boldly, holding out your Light,
And see them freed, all through the Spirit's might.
Lord, bless your church, and show the world your glory.
A church that heeds no status, class or race.
Where each saved sinner shares a gospel story
That lifts Christ's name, a monument to grace.
Accept our worship, as we gladly sing
In grateful praise, to heav'ns' almighty King.
