Psalm 51

Seems no matter where I turn

I'm faced with what I've done.

I never seem to learn,

Never know the time to run

And now the mess is made,

Decisions all my own,

All the people I've betrayed

Fade when faced with You alone.

I need your grace

To make me whole

Don't hide your face

Renew my soul.

Restore the peace

Bought by your Son

I'll find release

To the cross I will run.

I was born in guilt and sin,

With nowhere I could hide,

Needing cleansing from within,

A miracle to work inside.

Now I'm standing in your sight

With no one else to blame

Perfect judgement is your right

I can only plead one Name

I need your grace

To make me whole

Don't hide your face

Renew my soul.

Restore the peace

Bought by your Son

I'll find release

To the cross I will run.

Now your healing work is done,

Broken I'm restored to you,

I'm grateful to your Son

For the pain that he went through.

His blood has cleared my guilt.

My joy has been restored.

And now my life is built

On the foundation of my Lord.

I praise the grace

That made me whole.

Sing of the place

That saved my soul.

My peace regained

On Calvary

Now unrestrained

Will my song forever be.

Now there's a world outside to tell

About the glory of the King

Who has saved my soul from hell

Through His perfect offering.

My mouth will praise your name,

Sing of all your healing love,

Let them know that Jesus came

To bring your mercy from above.
