God's people lived in exile,

Far from the promised land.

They faced a coming danger

They did not understand.

A hateful force was rising

With intent to wipe them out.

But through the stupid plan

Of a drunken man

Moved the unseen hand of God

God turned the wheels of power

And though none heard his voice,

The queen was soon replaced

By one of God's own choice.

A hero too was rising

With an act that saved the king.

And this unsung deed

Was a planted seed

By the unseen hand of God

And now we reach a crisis

As the fate of all the Jews

Is in hands of evil men

To do whate'er they choose.

Our hero's fate is sealed

As the gallows waits for him.

But the king's sleep fled,

He reads books instead.

That's the unseen hand of God.

God did protect His people.

The same today holds true.

His providence is working

To order all you do.

It may not be apparent

In the turmoil of this life

But in every chance

Of circumstance

Trust the unseen hand of God.
